What are the principles on the processing of personal data?
Lineas recognises the importance of data protection and privacy of personal data of the individuals working for our B2B partners and customers and will handle the personal data of these data subjects with due care and only for specified purposes. Lineas explicitly confirms that all personal data will be processed in accordance with both the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (“GDPR”).
Which personal data do we process?
Personal data can be defined as any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual (“data subject”). Lineas may process (both physically and via the Website) data which may constitute personal data of the data subject such as John Smith’s name, his email address and his telephone number.
How do we collect your data?
Lineas collects your data indirectly from B2B partner or customer for the creation of an account to login to the Website or customer portal or directly from cookies of the Website.
Why do we process this data?
We collect data in order to deliver services to our clients, support business services and improve customer experience.
To whom do we transfer your personal data?
Your data are in principle exclusively stored on servers located within the EU.
In case of transfer outside of the European Union, your data is not transferred to a country that does not offer an adequate level of protection, unless the processing of your request requires the sharing of information with subsidiaries and/or business partners located in countries other than EU Member States.
In those cases, Lineas ensures that the recipients are bound to respect the same data protection standards as those within the EU, whether that is by means of appropriate contractual clauses or by means of their adherence to the principles of relevant legislation.
How long do we retain your data?
B2B partners, customers, and their employees having an account to Lineas online application(s) are entirely responsible for the decision to delete their own account at any time and at their own discretion. In any case, they need to proceed with the deletion procedure for every account which is no longer used.
Your personal data will be deleted within 30 days of notification from the B2B partner or customer that access is no longer required to the Lineas online application(s).
